SE & SA Series Premium Grade Sine Wave Inverters
We call it standard, others call it options. The premium range of SE Sine Wave
Inverters from Selectronic are no ordinary inverters. No expense has been spared
to produce an inverter which is innovative and very easy to use. A host of
standard features set these inverters apart from the competition.
We describe the quality of the electricity our inverters
produce as “True Sine Wave” , not “modified” or “quasi” just True Sine Wave.
This means that the quality of power produced is clean and free of distortion
and with a frequency accuracy of 0.01%, your appliances will not be damaged in
any way when you use a Selectronic SE or SA Inverter.
The entire SE/SA range features a back lit LCD display. Almost all operating
parameters of the inverter are easily adjustable via the LCD, such as output
voltage, low and high voltage and shutdown points.
SE22
The truly unique SE/SA22 can operate from either a 12volt or 24volt battery.
This flexible feature can be used when upgrading from a smaller 12volt system to
24volt. In the event of a 24volt battery bank partially failing, the SA22 can
continue to provide emergency power by being connected to half of the batteries
and operating from 12volt. No programming or internal changes are required
to the inverter.

PS1 - The real Outback performer
Developed from many years of experience in the hostile and remote
environments of outback Australia. This experience, hours of thermal modeling
and many hours of field trialing give you the confidence that a PS1 is built to
last. The power module has a massive number of ideally placed primary
capacitors, these are connected via ultra low impedance 4oz copper circuit board
instead of the typical 1oz.
The amount of data stored inside the PS1 is nothing short of
amazing. Up to 32 recent alarms are stored quick viewing on the LCD screen, up
to 200 alarms when viewed using Remote Link software via a computer. This
information makes it simple system interrogation locally or via modem remotely.
The need to provide reliable electricity away from the city has always been
challenging, be it village electrification, power for a remote community, a
domestic home or a luxury leisure vehicle, high quality electricity is always
required. Together with a battery bank and associated equipment, the new PS1
range now gives you access to a most sophisticated and reliable power source.
The PS1 is your complete power and control centre.
The Interactive Advantage
Unlike many other Inverter/Chargers, the PS1 will operate in parallel with a
generator or grid electricity. As the generator slowly seizes the load, the PS1
starts to charge the batteries or support the load. The result is True NO
Break performance.
Parallel operation of 2 or 3 PS1 units is possible for 3 phase operation.

Power
Solutions Australia
Power Solutions Australia is recognized by its customers as a key provider of
power electronic converter products and services to meet their needs
particularly for renewable energy and remote area power systems. We achieve this
by commitment to meeting customer needs, our experience, expertise and advanced
hardware and software technologies.
Our products are internationally competitive and are recognized for their high
levels of integration and functionality. We work closely with customers and
distributors to design and provide power electronic products that meet their
needs, identify and explore emerging opportunities and markets that draw on the
company's skills and expertise.
The company is widely recognized in the industry for the
effectiveness, reliability and breadth of its product range in remote area
power, renewable and grid connected applications.
On 1 July 2000 Selectronic Australia took ownership of 51% of
PSA. Selectronic has contract manufactured PSA's standard 3kW and 5kW products
since that time and has designed and manufactured its own range of inverters up
to 4kW. The association brings together two major players in the Australian
renewable industry.
RAPS (Remote Area Power Systems)
RAPS
3-10Kw & RAPS 10-15Kw
Generator Interactive Inverters provide mains quality power efficiently and
automatically. The system uses batteries to store energy for periods when power
demand is low, and automatically starts a diesel generator set when demand is
high or when the batteries require recharging.
This mode of operation ensures that the diesel fuel is efficiently converted to
electricity by only running the generator at medium to heavy loads and only for
a small proportion of the day. Power is drawn from the batteries and converted
to a mains quality sine wave by a microprocessor controlled inverter.
While the generator is operating, it supplies power to the
load and the inverter charges the batteries. However if heavy loads occur, both
the inverter and the generator can supply the load, giving a peak capacity equal
to the sum of the inverter and the generator ratings. This allows smaller
generators to be used compared to inverter charger systems.
An alphanumeric LCD display allows inverter variables to be displayed and allows
suitably qualified technicians to adjust operating parameters to optimize system
performance.

Solar
Grid Battery Interactive (SGB)
SGB 3-10Kw & SGB 10-15Kw
Grid Interactive Inverters provide a means of directly connecting DC
renewable sources such as solar photovoltaic arrays and small wind turbines to
the electricity grid. Grid connection ensures that all renewable energy
generated can be utilized. Surplus electricity not used locally is exported
through the grid to other electricity users. Batteries provide reliable power
when the grid supply fails.
Systems with batteries can operate in one of several configurations:
-
Without local load input.
The inverter starts and synchronizes to the grid when renewable input
becomes available, and shuts down when renewables are too small to justify
operation.
This is useful to interface a wind turbine to the grid, where the battery
provides buffer storage against wind gusts and limits the maximum DC input.
-
With local load supplied from the grid during normal
operation.
If the grid fails, the inverter disconnects and local load can be supplied
from the battery.
-
With local load supplied from the grid and renewables
during normal operation.
If the renewables exceed local load, excess power is exported. If they are
less than the local load, the shortage will be supplied from the grid. If
the grid fails, the inverter disconnects from the grid, local load can be
supplied from the battery and from renewable input. The battery will
discharge if renewables are less than local load, and will charge when they
exceed local load.
